Occipital Nerve Blocks

This is a procedure for treatment of occipital neuralgia which is a pain condition caused by malfunction of the nerve at the back of the head resulting in excess electrical signals and pain. The treatment involves injection of medication, usually an anesthetic into the tissue surrounding the nerve which allows the nerve to transmit electrical signal in a more normal fashion.
